Well it looks like Nintendo underestimated the strength of their consumers by supplying a weak strap. Click the link below to see how to obtain a new, reinforced strap for safer game play.

Compare the photo below to see if you have a Wii Strap that requires replacement. If it looks like the "original version" shown in the photo, then you should get a replacement.

I personally havent broke my strap, but D3ppy almost knocked me out when his strap broke, and his remote flew past my head.
