![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Router Bridging - Zone Alarm Pro + Switchsniffer v1.3.2.0 ::. Using Switchsniffer to router bridge By Krafty Another program? What does this one do now? Now that I have tried it, its basically an upgraded and better version of WinAPRspoofer. This one now has the ability to view the IPs of other people like Cain & Abel Where do I go to download it? Same place you go to download any program that has to do with bridging: >> Click here<< Thats basically all you need to know about it, so lets get started: Step 1: Open Switchsniff ![]() You will be taken to the Main Window Step 2: Now, as your first time using this, we have to set the settings correctly, up at the top, click "Options" ![]() Step 3: Now, you will be taken to a small pop up window, go through all the settings listed on the window on the left, and make sure they look like this: For this first one, make sure you select the ethernet card you use to connect your computer to your router, pay no attention to the IP Address they give you, you dont need it in this window. The only IP you need to know is your routers & xboxs. Your routers IP should be under "Default Gateway" in this window ![]() ![]() ![]() For thw next one, you can set it to scan everytime the programs starts, its a cool option to have ![]() Step 4: Now press ok, and you will be taken back to the Main Menu. Now, to scan for the addresses. Back at the top, on the very far left, press "SCAN"(If you choose for it to san everytime on load, you dont have to do this after this time) ![]() Step 5: Now, the IPs should show up ![]() Step 6: Now, the good thing about this program is, if you use the side-scrollbar on the box where the IPs show up, you will see the Host name for the IPs, in which you can identify which IPs which(under "NIC Vendor") ![]() Step 7: Now, in the box to the left where it says "Up Hosts", you will only need to check the box with your XBOX IP, dont worry about the symbols for the others, thats normal, just make sure you find which one your XBOX IP and check that one ![]() Step 8: Now, once thats checked, all you have to do is go back to the top and press "START" ![]() Your connections are now bridged. Now, were not done yet, here are some cool stuff that puts this program next in line to Cain & Abel. On the box with the 3 IPs, click the "Remote Hosts" tab ![]() Just like Cain, here is a display of all the imcoming IP(s) of other people, and 2 from Bungie. If you want you can click on the "Sessions Info" tab also ![]() And click on the "Services" tab to organize it, even though they give you the xbox name and port(3074) ![]() And to stop the bridging, click the "STOP" button located at the top ![]() To make sure you connections are poisioning, down in your Windows taskbar, if you have you network status icon on, when your searching it should be looking like this: ![]() And it should stay that way until you are either in a party doing nothing or if you clicked the "STOP" button. But if you follow what I just showed you then you should have to worry. I tested this in 2 games and it did work Now, you can proceed to using Zone Alarm regularly: Step 1: Open Zone Alarm (A-Duh) Step 2: Just for safe keeping, turn your firewall off (make sure you dont have hackers out to get you at this time). ![]() Step 2: Go to your rules(Zones) tab. First thing we wanna do is set your current network from Trusted to Internet. To do that, right click on "Zone" and select "Edit": ![]() Now, a small window should pop up. All you have to do is change it from "Trusted" to "Internet" and then press "OK" ![]() Step 3: Now it should be on "Internet", and your window should look similar to this: ![]() Step 4: Now, time to add IPs. First you need to add Bungies IP(65.59.234.161). Now, if you see the same exact IP but with a different ending (IE: 65.59.234.162), add it also to be extra safe. When it doesnt show up in Cain, then you can remove it. To add IPs, go down to the bottom-right hand corner and click on "Add>>" and select "IP Address...": ![]() Step 6: Now a small window should pop up, here is where you input the IP. Just for example, I'm gonna input a random IP. You would do this twice if your bridging. 1)Bungies IP, 2)Your friends IP which your forcing host to. Make sure you have the right IP(s) also.(Check Cain). You can make the description whatever you want: ![]() Step 7: Now, make sure the Zones in "Trusted" and then press "OK", your window should now look similar to this: ![]() Step 8: Now, make sure you save the changes by either clicking another and and selecting "OK" at this prompt: ![]() Or, on the bottom-right and corner press "Apply," If you do this, it sill be saved and you wont see the prompt above: Step 9: Now click on the "Main" tab towards the top of the ZAP FW. ![]() Step 10: Now, put your Firewall(Internet Zone Security) tab on High and leave your Trusted on Low. Your friend should be bridged now, hve him talk after doing this to make sure he still has connection to you. There you go! And there you have it, another one, this is all I got so far so please, give me a break if this doesnt work! At least im trying! -Krafty
