What is the difference? Like if you don"t have the updates on your iPod, what can you not do? And my second question is how do you update it? If you can? I think if you jailbreak, all that stuff would be erased anyway, and you would be downgrading to 1.1.1 before you can go back to 1.1.2 - 1.1.3 - or 1.1.4. So if you are jailbreaking, still buy either one. Just up to you if you are going to jailbreak or not. No Jailbreak= upgraded one. Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0  | I jailbroke and use 1.1.1 All the firmwares are pretty much the same...you only LOOSE things by going up in firmwares 1.1.1 has been out the longest and has the most research done on it....I haven't put extensive research into what the newer firmwares can do but this does everything I need. Games, NES, AIM/MSN/etc etc, email, Apple apps | ||||||

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 | it doesnt make a bit of difference. having 1.1.4 or 1.1.1 eitherway you can still downgrade/upgrade if your buying it with the software upgrade that means it comes with the app pack which apple sells through itunes for like 20 bucks or sumthing. you can get that for free from tones of sites and ive posted a tut already i think. if not ill go post another. so try and buy one that doesnt have the software upgrade because it will be cheaper. i hope Last edited by UnknowingAcorn; 03-18-2008 at 01:19 AM. | ||||||

Buy it at w.e firmware then upgrade it to 1.1.4 from itunes (its current version is 1.1.4) then use the App and it will jailbreak it without even downgrading and it stays as a jailbroken 1.1.4 XD fun stuff | ||||||
