How to JailBreak IPod Touch 2.0 or 1.1.4!!

Step 1:

When you download WinPwn is should be a .RAR file. Just right click on that file and click on "Extract Here". After that is done there shall be a pineapple for the setup. Double clik on the pineapple and it should ask you to Click on "Next" and yes after. Just fully install the program. When you are done the shortcut should be on your desktop. Click on it and it should look like this.


Step 2:

Click on Browse .ipsw and navigate to the 2.0 Firmware. Then click on open then click on "IPSW Builder". After the page comes up click on "Install Cydia". If you are on a IPhone and a At&t customer dont click on activate Youtube, this goes for iPod Touch users. So if you are a T-Mobile user click on "Youtube Active".
If you want to have some fun you can go to "Custom Images" and change Boot Images and Restore.




Step 3:

After that is done click on "Build ipsw" and save it to your desktop. Then go back to WinPwn and click on Browse .ipsw. Then navigate to the "CUSTOMIZED IPSW". Then click on "iPwner" and navigate to the "CUSTOMIZED IPSW" again. After that is done it will look like this.


Step 4:

Now you can click on "OK" and exit out of winpwn. Now it's time to put your iPod in DFU mode i am going to show you how to do it manually by hand it much easier and causes less errors.

How to put your iPod in DFU mode?

Turn on your iPod and hold down the "Sleep/Wake Button" and "Home Button" then plug in your iPod cable into your iPod. On iTunes it should look like this. Also don't be scared if you iPod has a black screen that means its in "DFU" mode. Another DFU method: iClarified - iPhone - How to Put an iPhone Into DFU Mode


Step 5:THE BEST PART!!!

Now this is the easiest and best part now hold down "SHIFT" and click on restore on iTunes and navigate to you CUSTOM FIRMWARE. Then your DONE!!!!!!. CONGRATULATION you have JailBroken 2.0!!!!

This will erase you iTouch's memory wont it?

EDIT: The firmware is taking about 1 hr to download. Is that supposed to happen?

it's around 220mb in size. Unless you either have blazing fast internet connection (just a few min) or unless you has the world's chittiest internet (a few days), around an hour is fine xD

Yes when you it restore it, it will erase your memory but you can just put all of your music and videos back on there with iTunes.

Okay I got it but the weird thing was when i jailbroke (restoring with customized firmware) it said the restore was unsuccesful, but i did have cydia on my ipod so I guess it work!
