Then you'll still have your music Thank You.OK. Well this tutorial requires no programs, and basic knowledge of clicking stuff. Requirements: *iPod *Attachment cable w/ the iPod *Computer *Space for the amount of songs on your iPod Step 1. Open my computer. This can be done by going to the Start Menu>>My Computer. ![]() Step 2. Open the drive with your iPod on it. ![]() Step 3. Once in the iPod drive, click tools, folder options, click the view tab, and on the list of settings click the show hidden folders option. When you are done, click apply, and the OK button. ![]() Step 4. Once you're done with step 3, there will be a folder labeled iPod_Control. ![]() Step 5. Open the iPod_Control folder where you will find a folders labeled Music, Movies, Pictures, etc. ![]() Step 6. For the songs, we open the music folder. In that folder are many other folders (depending on the amount of songs stored on your iPod.) These are labeled F--, the -- being a number such as F00 or F01. These are the files holding your music. The names, artists, albums, and etc. are still on the files, so don't worry about that. ![]() Step 7. Now to copy the music, you select all of the folders, or hit CTRL + A, and once they are selected, you can right click>>copy, or press CTRL + C. This will copy the music. ![]() Step 8. Now, make a new folder on your desktop, or my documents and label it whatever you choose. Once you are in that folder, paste the files by either, right click>>paste, or press CTRL + V. This will paste the music folders into this new folder. ![]() Once all of the steps are completed, you will have copied your iPod to your computer. From there you can burn a backup to CD, or whatever you prefer.
