How to FTP to an iTouch

Everyone wishes they could just plug in their itouch and view the entire system files. Well theres an easier way but it requires some setting up first.

Requirements:
Jailbroken iTouch (Any Firmware)
Wireless Internet Connection
SmartFTP

Step 1: Download and Install SmartFTP
Code:
http://www.smartftp.com/get/SFTPMSI.exe
Step 2: On your jailbroken itouch install the following
Code:
Install > System > BSD Subsystem
Install > System > OpenSSH
Install > Network > Pure-FTPd
Step 3: On your iTouch go to Settings > Wi-Fi > (the Blue Circle with an arrow beside your network). Write down your IP. it should be something like. xxx.xxx.x.xxx

Step 4: Open SmartFTP and choose new Remote Browser and use the following settings.
Click the image to open in full size.
Protocol - SFTP over SSH
Host - IP you wrote down
Username - root
Password - alpine

Note: the username and password will always be root and alpine unless you change it

Step 5 : Click okay and Enjoy the FTP
Click the image to open in full size.

Re: How to FTP to an iTouch

This the info I got from SmartFTP that it wont connect I did everything you asked(that is a fake Ip I wrote for you guys there just for my safety from anyone):

[13:05:29] SmartFTP v3.0.1023.4
[13:05:29] Resolving host name "153.199.6.3"
[13:05:29] Connecting to 153.199.6.3 Port: 22
[13:05:31] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
[13:05:31] Client closed the connection.
[13:05:31] Connect failed. Waiting to retry (30s)...

So any ideas to what to do about this?

Re: How to FTP to an iTouch

I've been successful at most of the steps, but found these errors:

Install > System > BSD Subsystem
This option didn't exist, but a beta linux did. I installed it instead.

Install > Network > Pure-FTPd
This option also didn't exist. I've downloaded some other ftp tools, but still getting a connection failed on SmartFTP

Any recommendations?

Regards,
Richard
