| 7S Enthusiast | iPod 5th gen iPod Linux question Okay. So I got the installer. So I got it to get past backing up the FW unlike when I was on Vista, it would crash immediately there. So I decided to try with my laptop on XP It finished formatting and created the new spot for iPod Linux. Then it said "can not patch FW partion (error:10)" I was trying to go to the iPodlinux site. But every time I tried to go to a page that wasn't screen shots or how to install manually, it would crash. So I tried to restore. It said it couldn't restore and to use Apple Restore or something like that. So now I'm out on 2 gigs on my iPod. And still iPod linux-less. Any help? thanks. It's an iPod. 5th gen. |

| 7S Addict | Boot into disk mode( Restart your ipod (Menu+Select) then hold Play/Pause+Select to get into disk mode) and connect it to your computer and restore again. It should work. |

| 7S Enthusiast | I've tried that. Multiple times. I can swear it had 29 gigs when I started. And installer still reports it as it's installed. Last edited by timmy2960; 03-17-2008 at 05:00 PM. |
