First thing that pops up is a message that a new iTunes is available, so I update it and then I get another message that my iPod classics' software can be updated as well. I noticed that it had downloaded the update or whatever but then my iPod screen went black. So, I disconnected my iPod and tried to turn it on, didn't work. Now I can't reset, turn it on or detect it on my iTunes.. I get this message when trying to detect it on my iTunes. ![]() What is wrong??

Try forcing it into disk mode if that does not work you have to try and write new firmware to it, you can try IPW but idk if it can detect it when the firmware is corrupt. if that doesn't work then take it to an apple store or wherever you bought it and get it replaced.

Just trying to help, i would set up an appointment with an apple store and ask them to fix it.
