I don't even own an ipod, but I can answer this. If you put the songs on your ipod and you delete them off your computer, why would it delete them off your ipod too? Doesn't make since. So to answer your question, no.

No. If your songs get deleted off your computer they will still be on your ipod, even if you reconnect it. You can get songs off your ipod back onto the computer.

if you have it to automatically sync with your ipod when it is first connected then yes they will be deleted. but if you have your ipod settings as "manually manage music" then they wont be deleted. or if you have the latest version of itunes it has an opion in edit>preferences>syncing that makes it to where you have to click sync to make it do anything.

its a yes and no answer, if you have your ipod set to automatically sync with your computer, then yes it will remove all of it (if you don't stop it before it does so). If you don't have it set to that then it wont.

It is default. Just plug it in a make sure you have it unchecked.

Its default if you just got it or restored it and didnt uncheck it.
