Now whenever I plug it to my laptop I get a little pop-up saying my iPod needs updated (think it was the software), of course I tried and then it gave me an unknown error and after it shows the error it doesn't detect my iPod until I re-connect. Is there anything I can do? Last edited by BackFire; 10-10-2007 at 03:48 AM.

If it's not connecting, do as follows. Turn hold on, turn hold off Hold the select and menu buttons at the same time (select is the middle button) then when the apple icon appears almost immediately hold select and play buttons down to force into diskmode. other then that, unistall itunes, and reinstall the newest.
