Broken :(

Is there any way to fix an iPod that has gone through the washing machine?
It works when its plugged in but when i unplug it, it turns right off and i can't turn it back on...

Send it in or buy a new battery and install it your self thats about it. theirs no way to just fix hardware problems thats like asking if theirs a way to chop threw a tv with an ax then try to get it to work again.

wow! mine actually did that the other day (like 4 days ago). Give it like a week to dry out. Like with mine, the first 2 days it didn't power on, after that, there was some battery issues (wouldn't charge) and the backlight had water damage. About 4 days after that (today) it works perfectly (except it wont auto-pause whenever the headphones are taken out anymore), and the backlight looks just fine.

Well, that'sa good idea i don't know if I tried itafter about week, but I'll definatelytry itagain i've actually just let it sit for a while, but hey i will definately try again when i get home thanks.

did you ever get it working? maybe if you didnt you should try a battery replacement. it is easy to do.

actually i didn't
it still just shuts right off after i unplug it from my computer/xbox...
i'll probably try sending it in or something to that effect

Lol, yea it works completely fine while its plugged in. (So i can hook it up to my Xbox and it will let me play music through it, and when i turn my xbox off i can scroll through the iPod itself.

pop it open, take the battery off, reconnect. might work, might not. (it made my phone work)

Okay, before i go digging in i need to get this straight.
Okay, so first i use the video to learn how to get the battery out.
So from there i remove the battery and put a new one or what?

I don't know if i mentioned this but the iPod is a Nano/Video.
