well the menu foward and back button dont work

the play/pause and middle button do work

how can i fix this

Try restarting it, forced reboot. Or try restoring it.

Hopefully you have a warranty. But im not sure they cover Damage to the outside and buttons.

try going threw diognostics mode sometimes the buttons get uncalibrated

1) some how get it to reboot (with out the menu key id say dead battery is your only shot)
2)reboot it holding center + left

maybe try restoring it through itunes
that would be my first thing
if you already tried that try soft reset

As stated before, go to your local apple store. I recommend calling before you go. Or call Tech support to see if your still under warranty.

If they won't fix it, then you can probably buy the replacement parts on ebay and do it yourself. I've done it on a 1G nano. It wasn't too hard...
