iPodpatcher can't find ipod

[I Got Me some 24"s]

I've been working on this for about three days, and I still can't figure out what to do. whenever I run iPodpatcher, it says it cannot find my ipod. I have it in disk mode, i've ran as administrator, i've done everything it says. It shows up in explorer, so yeah... any help is appreciated.

oh, and my ipod is supported by it(rockbox, what i'm trying to get the ipodpatcher to work for.). at least the website says it is. Google didn't help at all, and the only thing rockbox's website says is :
"If all has gone well, you should see some information displayed about your ipod and a message asking you if you wish to install the Rockbox bootloader. Press i followed by ENTER, and ipodpatcher will now install the bootloader. After a short time you should see the message “[INFO] Bootloader installed successfully.” Press ENTER again to exit ipodpatcher."

it's really frustrating.

5.5g (which according to rockbox is supported)
ipodloader2-2.5

that looks like the rickbox bootloader try using thr iPod patcher that installs the ipl loader

dang... i guess ill have to write a novel so i can get some money for a different ipod. and a laptop. omg and ill meet jon stewart cause he'll want me on his show because I wrote a book that interested him. freakin sweet.

but anyway, this sucks. i'm going to make my own os for ipod. that will show apple. bahaha. i will scour the internet for info and get back to you guys. thanks for the help

oh and i thought it was a 5.5g cause i didn't know the classic came in 80gb
