I mean, when I plug it into the computer, I can't do ANYTHING except restore, and then it keeps asking me to restore it, after I've already done that.

Is it a touch? If it is you can use this. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/itou...very-mode.html You could also try this with regular iPods. I don't know if it will work with ipods besides the touch.

Re: iPod Problem

If this happens from a drop it's mostlikley hardware related. Seriously drop it again and if that doesn't work brim it to the apple store

If it was a touch it would have been in the touch section

Yes they really mean drop it. Not like it hurt it anymore. If that doesn't fix it, buy a new one, there cheap now.

Re: iPod Problem

Yes I mean to physically drop it I mean don't chuck it off a Clift but give it a few shakes maybe hit it up against your knee if all else fails drop it from like a foot to a foot and a half up on to hard floors
Why?
That message is set to appear when the hdd is not responding or the iPod does not understand what is on the hdd. There for dropping it might put the hdd back where it's auppose to be and start spinning again

if he restored his Ipod and it didn't help then resetting it probably won't do anything

Re: iPod Problem

Well, whacking it just totally wrecked it, it doesn't recognize it or anything, so.
Never mind. It's still getting the problem.

Capacity say: N/A
And I forgot to say, it's an iPod Video, old ones.

Re: iPod Problem

Already did. We're trying to put it back in place by taking it apart.
