Really bad problem with my iPod...

Ok, so i downloaded iPodWizard v1.3, and connected to my iPod. I opened the Firmware i wanted and went to "Write to iPod" It worked and my iPod said "Ok to disconnect" So then i disconnected it, it restarded, and it had an error and a phone number or something. Anyway, im pissed so i restart it again and for some reason i decided to hold Menu and Rewind or Middle-Rewind...Whichever, then it froze on me and will not restart or anything no matter what i do. I hold all the keys i have to, THEY DO NOT WORK. SO PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT SAYING "Hold down Middle and Menu...retard" BECAUSE I TRIED IT ONLY 6000 TIMES. Please help, thanks.

Edit: I just had to wait for the battery to die, but i got another problem. It restored and my firmware is not there...its just origanal...Help PLEASE

when you restore it "restores" your frimware
You will need to re install it and this time use the right one foryour ipod remember:
No search. Feature=5G
Search feature =5.5G

i fixed my old ipod like this:

it wouldnt re-install the firmware so i hooked it up via-USB cable and deleted all the files that windows would let me see on the ipod. (My Computer, then the ipod's drive letter...)


after deleting all the files on the ipod, itunes would let me revert to origional firmware and then i updated it to the current firmware.


i would suggest using itunes because, even though we PC'ers dont like it, it is the best choice for doing ipod stuff with

I know i am using the 5.5G im not that stupid...I do not know what is going on. I tried it like 20 times.

the firmware file is not made for a 5.5G ipod then.
It will only give you that error if you install firmware made for a different ipod.

It has the search option...its a nano...i downloaded the Showtime v2 for 5.5G...What else can be wrong?

you can't mod that nano when ever you try to you WILL get that error their is no way around it

Ok, but there is one thing i do not understand, Why do they make downloads for a 5.5G

all nanos except for the first ones ever made are NOT moddable in any way.
and the newest ipod video 6g (ipod classic) is NOT modable in any way either.

btw, you do know that you have to flip the hold switch a few times, then hold the buttons down for up to 25 seconds...
