How do I install...

Hello, i wanted to install the Showtime Elite (Ultimate iPod Hacks Thread) but i have no clue how to get it onto my ipod once so ever...So if there is a tutorial or something can someone post it please. This is like my 2nd time viewing this thread and im lost . Please help.

ok, what ipod do you have?

and if you say 5g, then i need you to go to the main menu, go to music, and tell me if it has the search function.
if it does, its the 5.5g, if it doesnt, its just 5g.

now, you need ipodwizard v3
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

go into that, drop down the box at the top left and hit "firmware file"
then hit "open" and find the .bin file from the showtime file you downloaded.

then plug your ipod in, and make sure itunes is closed.

then in the selector box on the right, make sure your ipod's drive is selected. then hit "write to ipod"

applying a hack will temporarily erase all the songs and contents on your ipod.
but you can just go back into itunes and hit sync and it will re-add them to your ipod in a few quick seconds.

lol, i just posted it up there. its the same way for both 5gen and 5.5gen, you just need to download the 5g file and not the 5.5g file from my ultimate hacks thread.

Actually i got a 5.5g...It has the Search option. Sorry i didnt read that earlier...

....Ok, I got one last problem that kinda jacks the whole thing up. Every time i download firmware it says i need to restore with iTunes. Can you please help with this. Because when i do restore it, it goes back to origanal.

it does that when you install a frimware not kent for your ipod are you sure you don't have a classic
