Triboot ipod (linux, rockbox, Mac OS)

classic. im gonna be out of the modding mess once i get it though. that is the only thing keeping me from knowing for sure that i want it. then again, they will figure out how to mod them sometime... hopefully...

supposibly theirs cracked games out for them but i could not figure out how to get them to work with my brohters 3rd gen nano

they come as a .ipg file so i tried installing it normally
dint work

tried renamingit to .zip then unzipping it
unziped fine put them in GAMES_RO shows up in the ipod but wont load

tried editing it so that it was registered to my itunes account
dint work

hopefully ill figure it out soon


honestly i think you would get more for you money if you went with the 80 gig video cus its cheaper
but thats just my opionion its ultamately your desision

yeah, i thought about that. but i like the size of the classic. im one of those people that has to have a balance with the look and the performance instead of, "i want a nano cause they are small. i dont care how much they hold" or "i need the space. im getting the chunker" im more of a "idots... im sure they could get better hard drives in that little thing..." type person. lol.

Rockbox wont work on my 5.5g for some reason.

And linux is terrible on it to lol. It has nothing except settings lmao

Did you go inside the .rockbox folder and move the rockbox.ipod file onto your ipods root folder?

your suppose to define it in your loader.cfg as:

rockbox @ (hd0,1)/.rockbox/rockbox.ipod

thats because the line in your loader.cfg file is

Rockbox @ (hd0,1)/rockbox.ipod

they both work its just that your method takes longer and isnt really necessary

Lol yeah it worked after i did. I would have posted back after it worked but it was late and once it worked i just fell asleep

yep it will give you the option to boot apple OS (witch is your origional one)
