Good for you. The EASY way to do this, is to choose the installation directory on install and install it on the ipod.... >.< BTW, if you run a high density program (such as WoW) that needs to be spinning the ipod disc constantly, you'll kill your ipod hard drive. |

It kills the hd because the ipods hd doesn't run often. Most of the song information is stored in RAM so the HD can spin down and save battery life. If you have something running the hard drive at full speed constantly in such a small space on a drive that's not meant to do that, AND without any cooling, you're asking to buy a new hard drive. |

Even if an hd doesn't have cooling it's in an area that DOES 2.) The HD is NOT always spinning full speed during a song. I dare ya, look it up on apple's website. The song is loaded from the HD and then the hd is turned down to save battery life. 3.) If you want to run a game on it, be my guest. Just don't come crying to me when your ipod gets fried because you were playing BF2142 off of it. |

The iPod is in a container and can't get airflow, and therefore builds up heat quickly when the hard drive is working. If you're ever watching a video, if you touch the metal backing you'll see that it's warm. |
