| >tut for puting games on an ipod< first off you need to have linux (no duh) but if you dont have it dont read this its a waste of time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tut for puting games on your ipod by ZERO i desided to make this because i see alot of people who want to put games on there ipods with linux but dont get how to and just ask people the same question over and over. so here is how its done. 1. you need IDoom on your ipod. You need it because all the games run of this game. 2. you need to put idoom on your ipod. Do this by copying the idoom folder and go to my computer and put it in the root of your ipod. 3. after it loads on go ahead and try it out! On your ipod go to File Browser>hp> idoom (for me its File browser>hp>games>idoom i like to keep my self organized) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- other games that run on the idoom.wad (these links are coped from here -->http://ipodlinux.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4984) doom2 (there is no link you must find it on your own, there is ways trust me) ff3 http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,330 iHalf life http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,337 Western http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,336 Twilight Warrior http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,335 to put these games on your ipod note: only these games above work with having the doom1.wad 1.go to your IPod's root. Once there make a new file, name the file you just made the name of the game you plan on puting in. example: ok i am going to install Western so i make a new file and call it Western 2. Now after you have made the file copy IDoom in to the file you made. 3. go to the WAD you downloaded and copy and paste it in the folder you made with idoom in it. after it has been pasted name the game DOOM2.WAD(when you rename a game DOOM2.WAD it has to be in capitals 4. unplug your ipod and play the game you just installed! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- now for useing the doom2.wad this is the method i had thought of and it does work! (the game links here are also from the link above) (you need to have the doom2.wad to play these games) heretic http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,332 doom64 http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,327 quake http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,24,333 1. once geting the doom2.wad make a new file on the root of your ipod 2. copy Idoom and put it in now you will see you have a doom1.wad. Do not be scared this will not effect anything delete the doom1.wad. 3. after its deleted rename the real doom2.wad doom1.wad 4. take one of the game WADS you downloaded and put it in the file were you named the doom2.wad doom1.wad. now name the game file DOOM2.WAD. 5. play the game you installed! | ||||||

| you cant run idoom or any other application from a 5g ipod because you can only have podzilla 2 on it and doesnt let you run apps but if you have bootloader2 you can set iboy or idoom to run from there and you dont need the doom2 wad heres an example make a file in idoom called whatever the wad you have is then copy all of the idoom files into there including the readme if you dont have it it wont work then put the wad you have into the file and rename the wad to doom2.wad then run idoom | ||||||
