Sorry to bump this, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread just for this. Is the Classic Jailbreakable yet? I was looking through some of the threads and I still wasn't sure. I have the 1st 80GB version. Not the new updated one that now comes in silver. *Praying* Lol.

Well, only the touches and phones are "jailbreakable"
that term isnt used for any other ipods. just itouches and iphones.

and to answer your question more straightforward, no the classics are not moddable. they probably wont be for a while. most people kind of dropped the idea of working on the classics and moved to working on the itouch...

its gay cause i believe the itouch was jailbroken the night they came out? idk. all i know is that it was soon. now these 6th generations (classics) have been out for a year and there isnt any progress on them.

I love my classic too. Oh well. I'll just sell it and go buy a Touch. And the 16GB is Jailbreakable right? I just want to clear things up so I don't make a fool of myself (not like I'm not already. =P).

lol, you arent making a fool of yourself. you are just educating yourself before you make a big decision.

im pretty sure the 2ng gen itouches (the ones that would be sold at any big retailer) are jailbreakable. i dont know for sure though. i still have yet to get one. but im gonna get an iphone before i get an itouch.

I'm going to get a 16 GB Touch probably. Or 8 GB. I DL'd a Linux patch of some sort from here. I'm going to try it on my Touch. I'm hoping to sell my 80 GB Classic for at lease 220. It comes with my ill nasty case.

There is a Linux Download. I don't know much of anything about iPod Touch modding, but I'm looking around and builing up my Mod downloads so I'm ready to start instantly out of the box.

iPodWizard is simply a program for your computer and doesn't even require installation to anything at all. It will run from the folder that it is stored in.
So I guess you mean you put a theme on your iPod? That shouldn't kill the battery... I always have my brightness turned all the way down and the backlight to just a few seconds. Those help a LOT.
