I had a horrible experience and sent that store an email. It goes as follows. Quote: To whom it may concern, Today I walked into the apple store for the first time. I had been given a new Iphone 3g as a present and recently it had begun acting weird. It would lock up for hours at a time 3 or 4 times day. The home button will not work, and at times it is impossible to turn it off. I walked into the store at 7pm after getting of work, right up the road at Monaco Pictures. I went to your "Genius" table and sat there until the next available agent was able to help me. I made eye contact and then he ran off. I sat at that table for 45 minutes! Yes 45 minutes until some one in an orange shirt came up to me and asked me if I needed help. I told them about the issue I was having, how I was weary about apple products to begin with, and this situation was begining to make me regret ending my verizon contract early. She then told me she would get some one to help me. 10 minutes later she came out and told me I would be given a "standby iphone" until I could come in tomorrow to get my phone checked out. She said it would take a couple of minutes and I told her it was ok I did not mind sitting longer. I never saw that woman again, besides one time when some one opened the big grey door and I saw her taking a snack break. I sat there for another 25 minutes until Mary Smith helped me. I would like to thank Mary very much for her help. She was the only one to acknowledge me and help me. She helped me set up a reservation for thursday, and helped me unlock my phone. Aside from the extremely long wait and poor service I am wondering why I had to make a reservation for thursday but was told I could come in tomorrow and return the standby phone and get my phone looked at. I do not think that buying a $200 iphone I should have to reset it 4 times a day and restore it once a week to have it properly working. All I would like to do is have my phone looked at and see how I need to go about having it fixed. I hope this email helps improve the customer service you have at your great company. Bridge Street is a great place and it is a shame to see such poor service in an amazing store. Thank you very much for your time. Thank you Mary Smith for your GREAT service. You can make an appointment here. About your phone freezing and locking up they came out with the 2.0.1 software that should fix a lot of those problems you listed above I can't tell you my personal experience because I have a Jailbroken 2.0 3G and can't upgrade yet but I have reports of things moving a lot smoother. Yes no company is perfect but sitting there that long infront of agents that kept on helping people behind me and then asked me to move out of my seat so some other customer could be helped. Thats crap. Any time you vist an Apple Store and talk to a "Genius" you need to make an appointment online, VERY rarely can you walk in and get help. You can make an appointment here. | Re: email 2 Apple Back in November of 06 my headphone jack on my iPod broke a month after I got it, I went in to the store and made an appointment there, waited for a couple minutes and they diagnosed the problem and gave me a new one. I guess they changed their policy for genius bar reservations. I guess it all depends on the employees at your store. I had great customer service, while it seems you got the bad ones. | ||||||

She was like "well i can do the diagnosticts but I still wont do anything even if it finds a problem because you voided your warranty by dropping it" WTF do i have to do chain the damn thing to my hand! **** happends give me a break! | ||||||
