My issue isnt the crack it keep locking up, takes 20 mins to receive texts, screen randomly goes black and cant be turned on, and it randomly restarts. They told me I voided my waranty by dropping it, even though I am not fulyl sure where the crack came from. I was wondering how do I get a new phone. They told me I had to pay $399 to get it fixed. I have had it for two weeks. I am not about to pay a dime if I can avoid it. How should I go about getting a new phone with out doing more damange to it?

| Re: Get a new iphone LOL they said the warranty is void because it's cracked from a fall. BTW the cracks in the back casing are common, tell them it just randomly cracked. Or try an AT&T store, they'll probably be less assholish then the people at the Apple store. http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/30/a...-3gs-cracking/ Last edited by T Sizzles; 08-06-2008 at 11:39 PM. | ||||||

But the atnt store told me i had to go to my pos, being the apple sotre. Atnt refused to help me. Apple apparently can make exceptions when ever they want *this is what one of the agents told my mom this morning. She played dumb like she was interested in a new iphone* If they like you and you dropped your phone you can get a new one. If they dont like you they can say screw you. I gues they dont like me, But yes dropping your iphone voids your warranty! So basicly your screwed if anything happeneds to your phone.

I still have 10 days to end my contract be 4 I get hit with that fee. I was told becaue I have a crack on my screen that, it voids my warranty. So they wont fix it for free and I cant leave my contract within the allowed 30 days because of the crack. Its a lose lose situation for me.

Im having mom and dad go in tomorro wand pretend its their phone and telling them to say nothing about it being dropped. As long as they dont say that it was dropped they have no proof and I should be able to get a new one, i hope anyways
