If i drop my phone and it slides down a loading dock and gets a few nicks and scratches on it can I just walk in and

Unanswered: Repair Policy

So what exactly does the replair plan cover? If i drop my phone and it slides down a loading dock and gets a few nicks and scratches on it can I just walk in and swap it out for a new one? I have had it for about two weeks.

Usually they will switch it out. Just tell them that the home button doesn't work sometimes or it freezes. I seen many people doing this when the 3g came out for really dumb reasons and they were swapping them like no other.

I don't know if they changed the rules for the new iPhone or not but when I had my first iPhone my camera broke and my phone was all messed up on the back and they still swapped it out.

Well my first feel into a snow bank and was killed and they did nothing. Now my old iPhone (not 3G) has been acting up so do you know if they'll swap it out now even tho the new one came out?

As long as you are still covered under the plan they should replace it. Worst thing that could happen is they run out of 2Gs and give you a 3G

My friend's RAZR screen broke and all they had at the AT&T store were RAZR 2s so they gave her one for free. It was a refurb but it's still better than a RAZR.

Hey guys, I have a 3G and was just wondering, do you have to have some type of special repair or warranty plan to get it swapped out if it breaks?

I don't remember ordering any insurance or anything, as I just bought the phone and the service.

ooo i dropped mine once and scratched it up i think im going to just go in and tell them it reboots randomly a lot and sometimes the home button doesnt work.

how long does this swap out thing last for?

I dropped mine and the plastic cracked. The apple repair book says it doesnt cover accidents, or abuse and "other acts of god"

What I would do is try to **** the phone up as much as possible software wise. Like unplug it during a firmware upgrade or Jailbreak it and just go in and start deleting files. You could be like this doesn't work and they should swap it out.

I think you have a 1 year warranty but check and make sure.

It doesnt matter how long of a warranty you have if you drop it you void your warranty. Yes because I dropped mine and it put a small crack in the glass top right corner they said I cant help you you voided your warranty by dropping it. They were trying to make me $399 to have them send it out and get it fixed. WTF Ill just buy a new one for that.
