*HOW TO JAILBREAK 3G iPhone* FINALLY!

hey guys,
this weekend i was at my uncles helping him jailbreak his itouch when i stumbled across an amazing thing.
I found a way to jailbreak and activate the new 3G iPhone, but also a way to unlock, activate, jailbreak the 2.0 firmware on the first gen iphone.

these tutorials work for windows and mac.

NOTE: this will not unlock the 3G yet but the iphone dev team is working on it.:cry2:

another little note: these methods dont install the installer.app but they do however intal Cydia and you can get SSH and transfer it to your phone manually.

ok well i just figured this out.


if you have a first gen iphone just do this.

go here

download the custom firmware from the link( its a torrent file )
then connect your iphone to your pc
then hold shift and click restore and find the firmware you just downloaded and select it.
your iphone should then restore to the custom firmware.
once restored let it neuter your phone( this unlocks it allowing any GSM carrier)
then your all done.
2.0 firmware and no AT&T
simple hacking

this will work for the iphone 3g and this will work for vista?


and will this have installer on it? and i have the pwnage 2.0.1 but when i open it on my comp, all i have are four options but nothing like what i see im supposed to have. i have the links for thex12220000_4_Recovery.ipsw and the iPhone1,2_2.0_5A347_Custom_Restore.ipsw but none of the links work.

Should be pretty soon. The RiP Dev team posted some screen shots and this is what they said in their blog post

Also I jailbroke my 3G iPhone and it worked great no problems at all. I would also like to suggest to all 3G iPhone users tether your phone to your laptop it is pretty quick. Well I use it a lot. It allows you to use your iPhone 3G connection on your computer. I used while I was at my grandmas house because she doesn't have the interwebz
