Reverend, I actually have the equiptment to do an entire case(one piece at a time of course) I have a giant old pan, and I can come up with an old bowl(obviously bigger) etc. Can you give me some tips, etc. on it?

Should I use more dye than half of 8oz? Should I leave it in longer? Should I dip more often?

I have never done a case before, i would try something small if your not doing black to make sure you like the color, I would use maybe a little more its really just dying a few thousands of an inch of the plastic it doesnt take much - heat is key it is what allows the plastic to take the dye, but to much and the parts will warp like crazy - thats pretty much all I can help - wish you good luck -if it works out well id love to see pics

Re: Dip Dying Plastic Parts

Alright, so if I'm going to do an entire case at once(5 pieces), plus maybe like a controller or two at the same time, we're talking a lot more parts than just your one memory card. Do you think I should add the whole bottle for such a big task?

Also, how does it turn it? Is it sticky, or does it keep a smooth feel to it? Does it rub off at all? Scratch very easily? Change color after a while?

I'm asking these things because I'm very soon going to be opening an xbox modding shop, and Dip Dying will probably be the way to go for me for xboxes, because I will have the room to do it more than likely.
