ok a mod chip for the xbox 360 enables it to read backup games (burnt games) and has a on and off switch which makes it a little more convenient then flashing the firmware

Holly **** dude! You can buy anything you desire with those money. You can buy 30 games, a modchip, 2 more 360's and donate the rest to the Xbox 360 scene in order for them to come up with the CPU key and a complete installer!

a modchip is a chip that you can either solder or just mount if it is solderless, and it enables your xbox to play burned games, mod halo 2, all kinds of stuff. It basically installs a whole new level of software. You can go on the internet, play burned games for free, all kinds of stuff man, anything you want.

Also, a modchip can help you recover from a fatal Xbox 1 error, such as error 5.

It's basicaly a pre installed mod for the xbox on a chip that goes on the mobo

A modchip for the 360 allows you to play backups, thats all.

But you can do exactly the same thing, for free, with more features by doing the firmware flash.

Its not really a mod chip for 360, its just a chip that gets soldered into your dvd drive so you can play backed up games. Its the firmware mod thats all, but it uses external chips instead of the ones located on your dvd drive.

dont get a mod chip. if you do it wrong you can **** up your xbox. plus i would just rather use staright linux files on a regular xbox. because i dont wanna take apart the system and destroy it.
