Ok, first thing. Get your play and charge kit and the small flat screwdriver and put it in the middle of the front of the charging plug.

As you can see by my pic if you put the screwdriver near the sides it'll just ruin the plastic than open the case.

After you've got the cover off you'll need to remove the two screws to get the PCB out.

Once you've undone the screws, flip the board and to get the light defuser off. There are a few ways you can get the plastic out of the holes (the plastic is actually too big to go through the holes easily by pulling it) You can either cut the bigger plastic off, melt it off with your soldering iron, or use the small flathead again to push it through the holes.

I actually did this mod months ago so the original led is there anymore, but the original led is a big bi-led but it has four legs, so its basically 2 leds in one case. The original led was really annoying to get off; I used Llama’s bathing in solder technique to heat up all 4 points whilst using a small screwdriver to push it out. The trickiest part of the led is that the points are actually under the led than to the side. Once it’s off you can begin to solder two new leds in.

I've marked on the pic the positive and negative points of the original colours, and as you can see by my terrible soldering, you don’t need amazing soldering skills to do this mod.

Once you've soldered the leds in you can test the charging led by carefully placing it into the top of your controller. (You cant actually test the charged led unless you have a fully charged battery pack waiting)

Now that’s it works you just have to reassemble the charge kit, and look how it fits in with the rest of your 360 leds. Enjoy.
