fans for gpu and cpu??

Ok so I have just had 3 red lights on 1 of my 360's and am planning on putting some arctic silver 5 on the chips but was thinking of getting a chipset cooling kit and a thermaltake cpu cooler of some form my question is if i connected these to the relevant power points on the motherboard would they function without impeding the power source of the 360?

it should be ok i run my liquid cooler off the xbox psu but it gets alittel hot.
