| Novice  | How to FIX RROD ON a 07 Elite Model I had a friend give me an Elite from 2007 Doesnt have the Power supply or Harddrive & he voided the warranty by taking it apart. I have a New pro & for some reason the power supply from that worked on this old elite of course I powered it up & it has the dreaded RROD. Can someone Please give me the steps to fix this console & How I can get a compaitble power supply for an 2007 model I read on a site I can buy a RROD Kit & that will fix the problem, I understand how to use the kit & do all what needs to be done. Getting a power supply for an 07 model I have no idea.? please help with this  |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: How to FIX RROD ON a 07 Elite Model If you have a spare ATX PSU, you could get the Talismoon energyzer. The RROD can be fixed by a gutswap, but that's illegal so...  I fixed one of mine by replacing the x-clamps to bolts and a few washers, then I tightened it up, took a hot-air gun and heated it up. After it had cooled down, I tightened it a little more and then it was good to go  |
