What about painting over the things like the 1-4 numbers around the guide button? Will they be diminished?

Number one tip, take your time! Make sure you use the right pain, if it is not the right paint it will run off, peel off ect.

Re: need tips for painting my controllers

That is the best paint you could use. If you want to take it a step up you could always dye your case.

Re: need tips for painting my controllers

fuzion plastic paint is crap it chips and flakes verry easy

if you want to do it right try this

go to a local auto paint shop and locate sem or color bond plastics paint

i re do car and airplane interiors for high end clients and thoes are what we use. they will not chip or fade , and there is no need for a clear coat when using the 2 brands of plastics paints i listed

also you will want to get some verry fine grit sandpaper (finest you can find) . first you will want to use the sandpaper and lightly sand the plastic ,then you will need to take some laqur thinner and wipe down the plastic (this will clean all the grease and dirt from the controller and also it will soften up the plastic so that the paint will absorb better) make shure not to use to much laquer thinner (and wipe it off right away or it will eat into the plastic )

if you do these steps and use sem or color bond paints(sem is the better of the 2 brands) you will get a paint job that will last for the life of the controller and look just like the controller came from the factory that way

if you are doing a design sem also sells their paint in cans ready to be sprayed from a airbrush or paint gun

and i cant stress enough the fuzion paints are low grade and no better than regular spray paint as they have no cemical agent that lets the paint absorb into the plastic it is just a simple flexible paint and thats y it is sold as plastic paint(because it is flexible)
