i think im banned

i just signed into live and went to a few different matchmaking playlists, i couldnt get in any of them. then it pops up saying the "we cant connect to xbox live" so i start the troubleshooter and it starts receiving an update but stops 3/4 the way through saying my disc is damaged or dirty. i sign back on and everything works, but i keep hearing about a 6 hour countdown before the banning. so does this mean im going to get banned? i made sure to delete all modded maps before i get online, but maybe i forgot something...what do you guys think?

First check to see that your Ethernet/Internet isn't unplugged, and if you are a bridger, make sure your firewall is off. And if that's not the problem, take the disk out and restart your xbox........ Good luck...

try restarting your computor and xbox if your a bridger and if not i dont think your banned cuz it would say that one message "one or more of your players on your xbox has been permanantly suspended or some crap like that

oh ok, well i guess im good then because i dont bridge. it was just weird how it took me to an update screen when i went start the troubleshooter. and i double checked my hdd for any modded files i may have left on there and i saw the cache partitions that contained a lot of files...should i empty those before i get online as well?

I had the same problem. I tried uninstalling my modded dashboard and that seemed to do the trick. Hope I helped.
