I am having the same problem. I am doing it on co-op on easy on new momabasa level I get all 29 logs quit out go to data hive and all the logs disappear I have already beat the game and so has my partner. Any help?

When you say the logs disappear what do you mean? Once you collect them you can not recollect them. Meaning, when you quit the game any logs you found, you still have. If you check your visor you will see you still have the logs.

They do not save in the visor. So we repeated getting them. Now we do not want to go back to data hive unless we can figure something else out.

Ive followed this about 5 times...played thought the hole game to see if the logs come up at different times....i still cant find 29...i know the loaction is marked...but i think i done them in a different order.
Ive check them still im sick this is really doing my head in any idea whats going on?I know where 30..just 29...please help

Hi folks

I just wanted to post up and say thanks for everyone's effort and work creating the maps and the advice for this. Like many others, I was struggling with this and thanks to the excellent maps I was able to get the achievement

For what it's worth, my experience of getting all the logs was :

1. Completed game solo (Heroic) and picked up ~15 of the logs.

2. Loaded up level 'Mombasa Streets' (not a new campaign) and changed the difficulty to 'Easy'. Yes, I am a wimp

3. Went round and swooped up the remaining logs thanks to the excellent map posted by xiNsTiNcTx. Although the locations are rough, with the VISR on its easy to see and hear the ringing phones. Only one gave me a problem - I could hear the ring but not see the phone, I think it was #23, and I had to go through a security door which I spent a few minutes finding.

4. Once I had 29/30, I saved and quit (and went to bed!!).

5. I came back and loaded up 'Data Hive' again on Easy and ran through until I found the police officer. I romped through to the frozen part and then it's as others have said. Without wishing to spoil too much, be ready to discharge your weapon if you are interested in 'finishing' Sadie's story.....

The logs DO save in the VISR and the prompt is quite clear about this when you go to restart a level - 'All campaign data will be lost except VISR COMM data'. The trick is not to start a new campaign so your VISR COMM data is all kept.

You do not have to collect them in any order (I didn't) but they will 'play' in any order. The map as I mentioned before is excellent though and I personally think its the best way of just getting round the city and collecting them in the most efficient order.

This should be added to the OP:

If you are having problems finding an Audio Log, go to the Campaign lobby, and select the mission "Mombasa Streets" (which is below Coastal Highway), this mission will be unlocked after you have completed the game.

When you find the 29th Audio Log in Mombasa Streets, make sure you hit a Checkpoint and then save and quit. After that, go to Data Hive and the Marine should follow you down the shaft.

Do this on Easy.

Well I've come across the problem of helping a friend find all 29/30 audio logs in Mombasa Streets...we get to the next checkpoint then load Data Hive then when he checks his Comm Data it says that he has 0/30 any suggestions...
The only thing that we haven't tried is going to a level and quitting after we load the level...thanks in advance

I don't think you can get the 30th audiolog on co-op.

I started a new campaign on Mombasa street on easy.
We have collected all audio logs before and than we played all missions (start with the first level) without manual saving or stopping. After 2 hours we reached the level data hive and the marines jumps down. so thats all and works.

There is none in flashbacks. But after you collected all 29 on mombasa streets one will appear on data hive.After i collected the 29 on mombasa street i completed all other level into it unlocked

i think i found some glitches in my game. i have been to all of the locations and gotten 18 of them i couldn't find the rest so i went through and double checked every single one with the videos in this link Halo 3: ODST - Audio Log Locations | NextGenWalkthroughs
i have found all of the phones and booths and stuff but they don't have that yellow glow and i don't get the message to press rb anyone else have similar problems or know how to fix this?

the ones that don't work are numbers 4,13,14,18,19,20,21,22,24,25,and 29 if you go by the numbers on the map from the first post

i restarted and was able to get all of them

Just in case it helps, fellas. I just bought the game last night. I think I beat all the discovery missions but it made me redo one twice and now I think I have to redo two more so I'll be just starting over and looking for the logs this time through as I go.

Doing it on normal for achievements, pace and collection. 3rd run through will be focused on legendary. Now I know you cna co-op campaign this game but how many, just one other person? Prolly. That's fine.

Well i did everything you said but that guy which is a police officer and not a marine doesnt follow me down the last shaft, ive found 29/30 and completed the game and nothing works, ive tried to shoot him, melee him, push him nothing works, he has no problem staying alive he just wont follow me all the way down to the iced over hallway.

number 23 on the map is what I was missing, where you kill the two engineers, its really really hard to tell where its at and i thought i went over it cause there's a pod where you usually find the logs LOL... thanks for the tuts

Alright, I'm having troubles here. My VISR says I've got 16 logs, but I swear I've got 17. The main ones I'm thinking it might be are 4, 11, and 12. I haven't been able to find any of them, but I can see where they probably were, and I just got it earlier or something. Anyone wanna help me out with that?

Okay, now I've picked up 29, but it says I only have 27. This is bugging me like mad. I think I'm also missing 23, since I grabbed it while another was playing.
