yep, i would have uploaded the entire beta but it may have my ID in there and i dont want to do anything to risk getting banned from it

about a half hour till its done, its 2 parts almost 200mb

Im going to take out all the models then inject them into halo 2 ^_^. I'll remodel containment into snowbound:o!

Edit: Acuelly all the halo map editors says the map is not a avalid halo map.

Well we got the map files of halo 3 beta. One step closer to getting halo 2 to look like halo 3. But theres one problem, none of the halo map editors open the halo 3 beta maps. Maybe someone will make a program that extracts .obj files from the halo 3 maps in the future. Or we can hex the map some how.

yeah, i was just trying that.. when you try to open them in dothalo it says invalid halo map... so maybe somehow someone could edit a dothalo config file so its a recognised map...?

Im a programmer and understand hex basics. I'll see what I can accomplish over the weekend. Ill try opening the map using hex or somethin. And yes i'll edit the config file with a handy program I got.

Just try what the 1st halo 2 modders did before they had all the programs they hex editted the maps.

I found some weird lines using hex workshop:
This is a bunch of random lines.

Some more random lines(may resemble the starting weapon):

Random Line(could resemble teleport but the teleporter was removed from h3 so why would this be here?):

I found some stuff that may resemble tags:

I found it using HexWorkshop i'll update this post with what I find.

and also if you cant play customs in the beta, what would you mod these maps for? (besides the models)

there are no customs, there probably wouldnt be a way to mod them online anyways because you would probably get insta banned... so this is bascially to see if they added any extra security and for the models

Hey guys looks like h3 will have 2 gametypes called Halo 1 classics and Halo 2 Classics. Found it using hex :p.
