Hey guys. Is there any other way to get the maps except m$ points?

Well theorertically i suppose you could get somebody to transfer the maps off the HDD onto the computer, upload and then have you download them but I'm guessing this doesn't work since i've had accounts made on 1 xbox, recovered on a different xbox unable to play the new maps, although already on the harddrive.

PS: I have no clue if it would or would not work, but who can't afford 1000MS points for supporting a decent company's work and added fun right?

No the only way is by buying them, you cant transfer them to your HDD because they are LIVE files....i think

You cannot transfer the map packs like that as nobody can/will ever be able to sign LIVE files.

Yep, they're in LIVE files, so they can't be transfered between xboxes.

Before you ask, yes they are already resigned, but they are not resigned to your profile ID's.

Yea, that would just get you a lot of free stuff. I don't even think you could find the .maps in your hdd, just usermaps ( using xplorer)

The DLC is stored on your HDD, and you can extract the maps from the container(s) they are stored in.

If you open your disc drive, and plug it in your pc, and read your halo 3 files, you can just add all the files of the Legendary mappacks extracted from wxPirs, to your maps folder, DO NOT MODIFY them or you'll have to resign it, which we cant.

He didn't make his point too clear...


But if his point was to add the DLC maps to a disc to be able to play DLC maps on any xbox with a flashed drive; If you were to copy the image of the disc and add the DLC maps and corresponding BLF files into the correct directory's inside of the image and burn the image onto a new disc, those DLC maps will show up in your map list.

I thought the mainmenu.map saw a difference between disk maps and dlc maps? Wouldn't something have to be done to the mainmenu.map to add more maps to the list?
