Just like when the Legendary maps came out and they added the filters and such, or the soccer ball and man cannons with the heroic maps. Also when they allowed you to place objects that actually settle so that you map doesn't fall apart during gameplay. You could also argue that forge will be greatly expanded by the map "Sandbox" which is just gonna be an open 3d plane with many objects meant to interlock together. |

| Novice | Re: Expanded Forge options: Recon Any ideas on the announced "expanded Forge options" in the new Halo 3: Recon game? .map modding / ai? My post was giving my ideas as to what the "expanded Forge options" would be. Such as a possible "snap" function where objects will be able to lock into each other, or just objects that interlock better to make forged maps look smoother, especially on "Sand Box" one of six of the new maps that will be coming out. |

| Novice | Re: Expanded Forge options: Recon Yeah the way they portrayed it in the Edge acceptance video, it looks like a completely flat black plane with intersecting lines to mark distance and perspective for when you are building the map. It always is a pain to have to deal with the garbage and uneven architecture of Foundry. The objects/building pieces shown so far from the both the Edge and Gphoria acceptance videos is very promising as they seem to almost interlock together. |
