Custom Map in Halo 3

Hey I heard a rumor that it might be possible to create your own map in halo 3. I'm not talking about forge or anything, i mean like making this map from scratch using a program like 3ds Max or something. Then exporting your map to a .map file or something and burning it to a backup of halo 3 and running it on a flashed xbox. I no this is way harder than i am explaining it to be but i was just curious.

As of now it can not be done because we dont know the signature to sign a halo 3 map file and even if we did extracting and injecting raw models would take time to figure out.

Just stick to halo 2 modding for the meanwhile - most of that is possible in halo 2 right now.

Thanks guys i will keep doing halo 2 maps, i am a noob at that anyways, i just thought it would be cool to do the same thing in halo 3... But i guess it seems one day that will be possible.....
