| BANNED | Re: Possible RSA-2048 if you want to see a semi understandable ratio for the ammount of time that would take, look at the link in my sig, a smaller encryption was bruteforced before and i made a simple ratio to compare the logic of that plus, who the eff wants to sacrifice and pay electric bills for that much of 10 billion years? |

I say if you really wanted to build and run a program for people to collectively run to 'crack' the key, the go ahead. However, there are two things to note: - firstly it would be better to just crack the xex key. - secondly either way you need a better algorithm. And while the chances of finding them in a reasonable time period is EXTREMELY slim (aka less than 0.000000001% even on a large-scale find), it still exists that someone could very well stumble upon it. If you ever did attempt such a feat, you would need a bit more info before blindly cracking it. |
