I'm not sure but the update is for the ranking system so I don't see how it would affect our ability to mod. But I'm not positive. I'll bet easy or djshepard would know.

The dashboard update will probably do something about the resigners, but probably not just a Halo update.

seems very unlikely for h3 to do that. Im not sure but if bungie has the authority to check CON files for their game in theory they could block the Kv's you guys have been using. Or, they could have the XEX check usermaps for idents that arent supposed to be in the table and block them from use. They could block the films by comparing the gamertag to the recon list.

in the update it mentions changes that will be invisible to us or things that they are gonna update that we wont notice and the BanHammers Gonna Suck

Eh, this is classic Bungie style: posting cryptic warnings that really could mean anything. I'm not too worried about usermap modding being affected because I don't think Bungie sees that as their top priority to stop or ban people for. Cheating, all kinds of it, actually make the game experience worse, but usermap modding does not. Who knows though, like the others have said, anything is possible.

EDIT: One thing Bungie very likely won't do is stop the resigners or keyvaults from working, as that is Microsoft's domain.

Yea i dont think they will do much about modders as we dont really affect peoples experience in MM. They will most likely ban standbyers and people that cheat in MM

The resiners are not too big a problem because we will never get any of the important resiners like the map and live resiners. Bungie did say that they were updating the cheating detection though.

Well, right after I downloaded the update and the "update info" page popped up, my xbox got the RROD (suspicious Bungie? lol) but from what I was able to read on the "Welcome to Title Update 2" page, right near the bottom it mentioned something about being able to detect "content modification".

I dunno, like I said, my Xbox just died right then and there, lol.

Time for me to go get some screws, washers, and paste so I can fix it. lmao.

there was only really the screenshot cheating but that stopped and they mean like exp boosting and network modification or tampering
