| Re: Korruption + Extras I recall a .map resigner being released ![]() (note the xbox tampers... bogus or not?) if .map files can be pulled from the game and put up for download like here XboxSoftMods [files] » Unmodded maps for various Xbox / 360 games » Halo 3 maps, can't that be done in reverse (as in from computer to game disc)? it would be nice if you could put those .maps up for d/l, just to try. | ||||||

| Re: Korruption + Extras because i know that when the 360 loads the xex, it loads the digital signature first and decrypts it with its copy of the public key..... which results in the original hash of the file that was generated when the file was signed. when the decryption worked it means that only the person holding the private key was able to generate that signature, then it takes the rest of the file and runs it through the hash function again. if nothing changed in the xex since it was signed, then the hash stored in the certificate should match the hash the xbox just calculated, so if the two hashes dont match, then the xbox knows you've tampered with the xex and it will reject it.... the only possible way i would imagine to get around this is to disable or remove the software inside both the 360 and the disk that makes it impossible to modify.. wether you destroy it, or simply work around it .. IMO, its way to much effort | ||||||
