| Novice | Fileshare secuirty I have an idea to make it that authors of a map don't get banned. Maybe there can be some mod to the file that doesn't let it be uploaded to the fileshare. I don't think it will work but it would keep people from getting banned by accidentally uploading it and it would protect authors of modded stuff. |

| Junior Member | Re: Fileshare secuirty I'm pretty sure the way they decide the real author is through the console ID in the CON file, since most modders aren't smart enough to null it out ![]() That's how modders get caught |

| Junior Member | Re: Fileshare secuirty Oh wait... I just realised how stupid that was! I forgot you don't actually upload the full CON file... Sorry ![]() You're right Unknown |

| Junior Member | Re: Fileshare secuirty but if you create a modded map, then spread it through custom games like everyone on here says to do, someone you play with could save the map and put it on their own fileshare. then you'd get banned for being the author. |

| 7S Addict | Re: Fileshare secuirty If you null them, you're not going to be able to play it. People null their ID's when they are uploading the file to a website. You must resign it to your proper ID's if you want to play it on your 360. To null something, just fill the resigner form with 0's in the ID boxes and hit resign. |

| BANNED | Re: Fileshare secuirty so if they do ban the author (which i read that at bungie tu), you could change the name to anyone you hate and ban them also they said you could upload screens of mods as long as the screen itself wasnt modded, just a lil side note that made me happy inside =^,.,^= |

| Junior Member | Re: Fileshare secuirty Well you can now get banned for showing your friend your mod and then some other kid joins the game and leaks the map to his file share, then you get banned. And don't say no one would do that because they would get file share banned i know alot of people who still upload mods to their file shares. |
