Is This New Update Good For Us

So yeah everyone already knows by now that Microsoft are releasing an update this fall for the Xbox 360 and one of the features that got the modding community alittle excited..... well me anyway lol is that you can save whole games onto your Xbox but you still need the disc. Anyway i was just wondering from all you smart poeple out there (Thanks Smart People) how do you think Bungie will go about doing it. Like do you think the whole game will be stored as one file example an .iso file i no it wont be but just an example also if so. Do you think they will make it really hard for us to open up the file i mean its not like they will just winrar it lol........... bad joke i no .

It doesn't really matter how they store it. It's not going to do anything for us.

no i just mean will we be able to open it and get and the files say map files and stuff and i no this does not help us as we already have the maps and stuff but a just wondered.

I don't people wasting 8 GB of there hdd just to load a game 6 seconds faster. I think M$ might ban the key vault so maybe no more forge mods =(.

its not going to make a difference think about it we already have the new maps saved to our hdd and we haven't modded those no matter what we will need a .map resigner

im interested to see how this will effect people with flashed firmware

yeah thats what i thought whene i was watching e3 but would we just need a xbox with no updates (offline)

its been already stated that if a keyvault does get banned, someone would release another, along with theres a couple already out there

Do we every really know? It just plays out the way it plays out we just gota wait it doesn't hurt to think though.

Maybe Bungie will be kool and just figure out a way to stop all the porn screen shots that basically screwed all modders over.

Well the copying games to the hdd will probably useful, but I bet they'll do something to fight the release of the CON resigners.

why would a publisher want to make an update to help people tamper with their products? seems foolish to me.

And yet we only have 20GB unless you have an Elite or payed $180 extra, which in the case if you have a 20gig you can only save one game which is dumb.

If your disc is scratch and certain maps on your disc won't load you might be able to fix it somehow by doing this. Just something that seems plausible to me.

True I never thought of that. And ow I have a question like completely different to this topic but I didn't want to start a new thread about it. You no the guy who first modded halo 3 maps with a devkit and stuff why did he never release anymore vids. if it was me i would have made tons of mods

if anyone could fill me in to what happened that would be great.

im thinking they are going to put it in some sort of security thing, and also, if it is just a standard rip (which i doubt), it wouldnt do much except make accessing the files a little easier because for the past years weve already been able to rip the games anyways.

but, MS being money manipulators, they are forcing people to get a 120 gig hard drive if they wanna put the feature to use
