No, editing the personal save isn't the same as editing a .map file. It doesn't matter what type of map it is (custom, campaign), if you are editing any .map file, it's .map modding.

Has anyone gotten ShotSpartin's method to work yet? I"ve finally gotten back on and there's a ton of crap everywhere now... And my question is, do you have to download the Johnson 1.4 with campaign support?

Ok first the maps you can mod are

Base- Crows Nest

Citadel - The covenant

floodvio -Flood gate

Halo - last level

Hc - cortana

Intro - arirval

jungle - Seairra 1177

outskirts - tavos highway

vio - the storm

and waste - the ark

If you cant sign in on your account
use this-

Username- Spam
Password - lauren

now download the map you want

Next go to the map you downloaded and are going to mod on your xbox
Example(Tavos highway)

Now make shure no one is with you and start it up

ok now look around in the game look for mongooses wepons warthogs boxes and what ever you can find in johnson

next write down the stuff your going to change press pause and hit save and quit

now wait about 20 sec to let the save build in next take xport or xsata and hook it up
to your hard drive

you should now go to your saved content from halo 3 and you should see a save that looks like this

extract that to your desktop.

now open the .map in johnson

there should be alot of tags in there

now just like modding user maps swap the identifier wepon, vehi, etc...
with things like shades,pelicans,shadows,banshees that fly (yea its kool) etc... identifier in hexeditor

then when your done swapping things hit the save button in hexeditor

and close johson.

next open any resigner except superstaioins and skate zeros and wat ever resigner it wont work i prefer Shades New Resigner open the personal3847291212973864 in the resigner and hit resign

now use only Haxalots rehasher and rehash it

close the two programs and open xplorer360 and go to you user created content

and inject the personal000036437219123 back in to the container of user creater content

now close xplorer360 and put your hard drive back on your xbox and go to campaign let all your content load (yea its annoying i know)now get out of campaign and go to the menu at the top of the menu it should say continue campign press that and it should load up
now when its done loading you will be amazed have fun make a video show your freinds only one thing that sucks you cant beat the level or the mod will not be there any more so enjoy it onece and do it again.

Just an idea: What about game saving? Or hex editing for that matter. Game save the last checkpoint in a legendary level, or hex edit the score for capaign scoring achievements? Will that work?

Campaign score is not an integer, but a compiled list of every killed enemy and in what way. A program allowing changing of campaign score is very distant as of right now.

As in modifying gamesaves? I am currently researching campaign saves and things are very complicated, but it can be done in the near future.
