i said i has an ideer so i know this would never happen but like everyone else here i'm just saying in theory it can be done
maybe if we got the whole school of MIT to work on it lol

what if we made a program that connected all our computers together that would help crack it so think instead of just one comp trying to do it think 50,000 well probly lless computer but better then one

btw look at this Schneier on Security: Kaspersky Labs Trying to Crack 1024-bit RSA

We estimate it would take around 15 million modern computers, running for about a year, to crack such a key.


could you turn the algorithm around
? or something i don't know anything about this stuff

Exactly my point. Now, that's just 1024 bit RSA, think of how long it would take for 2048 bit RSA.

Sorry, but it's not happening.

this can't be done by one person it will need everyone
oh and to respond to this, think of this ratio (a number after e is the number of 0's after it), b and c are random digits cause we are talking in general:
3.5 = Be12
x = Ce516

3.5/Be12 = x/Ce516

3.5 * (Be516/Ce12) = x

x = 3.5 * (Be504/C), by use of canceling out 0's, x is the ammount of time, which is a big a** number

and thats if the numbers a sexy and even, my calculations could be wrong.... but i dont think so...

it know it not going to happen but i think all this thread have turned into what if?
the money, time and demand for it not there if we have millions of computer and million of dollars still not happen in our life time
bungie has won and out smarten all the modders and they should
and what cause they to go this far was because of all the modding on halo 2
be happy they don't start and try to use a punkbuster or VAC system where any cheat what so ever get you banned for life on everything but custom games if that

he is referring tu having something like a dev kit to run your own code (dev kits run signed code btw), or an xbox that can run with out signature vertification, or a custom kernal that will allow us to do that

plus, i see nothing off topic in here at all, all talking about the resigning of xbox things

Well it could be possible to create and xex loader to be used with the KK exploit, thus giving you the ability to run unsigned code.

well to downgrade a 360 is to F***ing hard trust me i seen the tut how to do it its precise soldering and such + try desoldering an E-Fuse lol.

If you have a console that has BK 1888 there is a very specific way to downgrade to the initial dashboard. From here you can upgrade to the exploitable kernel, and in theory build an XEX loader. But no one from here will be doing that considering they dont have the knowledge to program for the Xbox 360, nor the knowledge on how to remove the map checks. Not to mention that this method would require you to have a method of hard drive transfer else you want to use DL-Disks everytime you make a tiny change.

Possible, yes, but it'd be easier just to get a dev kit then to downgrade and write an xex loader. All I was saying was that it was POSSIBLE.

Now I dont know anything about modding halo3 nor programming, But cant you open a map in HxD and Find the Signiture? if you can then why not copy it and then edit the map, find the signiture in HxD again (That is changed since the edit) and Paste the original Signiture in?

From what I remember, we already know where the signature is, just cant recalculate a new one... but dont quote me on that
