Halo 3 Mods: A Tutorial on Halo 3 Modding for Beginners

here is the thing i have downloaded XPort360 and Sandbox but I am unable to download Container Edits. Trying to do so takes me to Microsoft Application Search. I can also not download any of the CON Resigners or CON Hashers (the pages do not load up) so any help would be appreciated to fix this before my Xsata arrives tomorrow.

hi, ive been having some problems when trying to load the map file in sandbox....i made my map...used ce to extract the sandbox(successfully) and when i loaded sandbox, with the map i wanted to mod it says unhandled exception has occurred......unable to read beyond the end of the string. What does this mean and how do i fix it? please help ive been trying to do this all day!

Try downloading .net framework 3.5, if that doesnt work try Forge

You can't mod Campaign. They put them there as part of the complete collection.

The forge application, Is it for forging of modding? I tried using it and it was difficult.

Download the newest Sandbox. It doesn't require the .maps.

You have to Register first. login, then you should be able to see the Download Button(s).

Hey im srry for all the questions but when i transfered my hard drive to my xbox360 i uploaded halo 3 and it said something about tampering and said it removed it. I dont see y. I mean i rehashed and resigned right can someone plz help out

Im having a problem with Sandbox. I am able to open my usermap file but when I open it, Sandbox shows no files. All the slots are empty Could there be anything I have done wrong.?
All I have done is created a map (obviously) and used Container Edits to open the usermap from the Xport and used the Extract Sandbox from Container. Then i open it in Sandbox and nothing is there! Anyone know whats going on?

Sorry for the double post but I am trying to swap a mongoose i placed on a rats nest canvas, for a pelican, but it does not show the pelican\parked_pelican\ or whatever it is, in Sandbox. It is in the 'scen' class if this helps.
And I may aswell ask while i'm here. Is it possible for one to mod something which may not be on the map, e.g. Have the pelican from rats nest in standoff?

I can see the the pelican_parked/pelican_parked ident perfectly. Before you can see it in Sandbox, you have to swap it for the mongoose first, by clicking the swap button with a mongoose slot selected and selecting the pelican.

No, you cannot place things from other maps. The objects have to already be in the map file.

How is this done, i cant see a swap button anywhere. Or is this in sandbox?
