Creating and transferring Halo 3 Dev Campaign saves (From a devkit to a retail)
Alright, I'm going to show you how to create a Halo 3 (or ODST) campaign save on an Xbox 360 Devkit that will work on a retail Xbox. First off you're going to need a few things:
1. An Xbox 360 Development Kit (Obviously)
2. A film of the person the save is for.
3. The profile of the person the save is for.
4. Vanity (Halo 3 Film Editor).
5. Siggggggggggy (Account encryption tool)
6. Any STFS extractor/injector.
First off, open up the film in Vanity, find the person the save is for, and copy the Machine ID:
Now on your devkit, go to "Tools"
Now go to "Network Settings"
Go to "Game configuration"
Go to "Advanced settings"
Now select MAC address and enter the machine ID you got from Vanity.
Next we're going to convert the profile so that it will work on your devkit. To do this we'll need to open the profile up in your STFS extractor of choice (I hear all the cool kids use Modio) and extract the "Account" file.
Now open up siggggggggggy, press "Decrypt" and select the Account file you just extracted file. Now check the box in the corner which says "Developer's Kit Profile"
Once you've checked it, go press "Encrypt" and select the Account file once again. Once you have done that, reinject the file into the profile, resign it (This will require a devkit keyvault or another way of resigning) and put it on your devkit in the same folder as on your retail.
Now just go into Halo 3, and play campaign. Once you're ready, just press save and quit, copy the personal file off your devkit's HDD, resign it, and put it on your retail's HDD.
