This tutorial will show you how to mod maps using forge. It basicly consists of swapping items.

First on any empty map place items anywhere you want, I used frag and plasma grenades and will turn them into clones for Master Cheif and elite clones
(sorry for bad picture, it was taken on my phone)
Then save the map and connect your hdd to your comp. Then drag the map to your desktop and make a back up. You can get your map off your hdd by going to partition 3 - content - your profile - halo 3 - 001 - the map with the most resent date:
You will then open your save game in forge and go to to equip on the left hand side, then frag grenades.
It will then list how many frag grenades you have on map, the catagory frag grenades are in, and other info.
To change the frags to cheifs, in the second box from the top, change eqip to bipd, then choose cheif, then save:
The left hand side should mow reset. To change the plasma grenades into elites, you do the same thing. eqip, then plasma grenades. Then change the catagory to bipd and elite:

Lastly in the top box change who made the map so you don't get banned, then hit save.
After saving the map as a different name, you can close forge and open concept.
Open your map in concept and hit the rehash and resign button.
Now put the map back on your hdd in the same folder you got it from and overwrite.
Then load up halo, go to your map and look at your clones!
You can aslo change the grenades to projectiles by swithing them to projectile tag, then what ever you want, I used wraith charged mortars:
This will cause the grenades to spanw as wraith shots at the very begining of the game:
