Halo3: How to Hex Hayabusa & EoD Armor to any gamerprofile

1: On Halo3 change Armor colour to all white as this makes it easier to search for the right area in hex.

2: Open Gamerprofile with hex editor and search for 02 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 02 in hex values - this is the white armor colour.

3: Scroll upwards around 13 lines until you see the hex value shown below. Note the xx's is just your own profile ref's but you will see it begins and ends with what's shown in bold - again this is to make sure you're in the right place.

63 E8 3F FF xx xx xx xx 06

4: Highlighting from the first 00 after the 06 value on the end from the code above, go all the way down to the last FF just before your armour colour values then make sure you paste write (not insert) the following values over it...

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 30 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0A 0E 0E 0A 08 08 08 08 08 08 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F FF 00 07 07 03 03 03 07 07 03 03 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 FF 00 00 00 1E 00 7F 00 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF

5: Do another forward search for 02 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 02 as sometimes this area can be in your profile more than once and follow the same procedures above exactly...

6: Rehash/Resign and now the gamerprofile has EoD & Hayabusa Armor, if anyone finds the Recon values by altering any of the above values - be sure to let me know...

As I do not have a 360 or related to test, I cannot confirm anything. Try the following for offline recon, it was pulled from a recon account. Remember that if you connect to XBL, it won't work any longer, so KEEP OFFLINE....

I tried, didnt work for me. Do you think that It could be alot simpler concidering that bungies activations are simple, Like for bungie pro's activation was a text file that said "HI".

If I remember right after Bungie Day people with recon were talking on the Bungie forums and some talked about how you had to be on xbl to use recon armor. I could probably find a thread about it, but I just woke up and don't feel like it.

gabe was doing some research on recon and related. From what he told me, it doesn't seem that the flag is actually in the profile. While it is true that after the server check, it can be used offline, for some reason using the profile as a whole doesn't on another 360. This leads us to believe that there is something else, either a seperate file/flag (maybe in the large campaign save is a possibility), and/or a console lock.

Interesting. So, the thing that unlocks recon is not only in the profile...that is annoying.

it may possible be. Like I said, it is possible that some unknown console-specific lock may prevent recon being used offline on other 360s (which would make sense, so Bungie can make sure that people can't just give everyone their account and let them all play with recon offline). It seems like a lot of work for them I know, but w/e.

It's definitely not in the campaign saves.

The flag probably can be edited though, it's just that nobody has found it yet.

Re: Halo3: How to Hex Hayabusa & EoD Armor to any gamerprofile

The Bungie servers recognise you by your Machine ID...if you open a film using Vanity Film modder, it gives you your Machine ID under your gamertag...

If you then search for your Machine ID in your gamerprofile using hex and find values - you see it oly appears in there once with a few lines of code above and below it, followed by the 'Halo 3' text...

I tried changing my machine ID a few times then going online, but still nothing...

I really don't think that it is until I actually have Recon legit that I can work out how to share it...I bet it ends up being something really simple...

What you guys need to to is compare a Reconed profile to a normal profile with everything the same except recon on a different xbox and look for the differences. Those are just my thoughts

Re: Halo3: How to Hex Hayabusa & EoD Armor to any gamerprofile

I did manage to sign in on one of the Recon profiles posted here by doing the following.

Put the Recon Profile and another spare Silver Account on the Pc Desktop.
Using Modio, drag the Silver account into it and click File Contents, click on the account data with the size of 404 and right click to extract to desktop.

Now drag the Recon profile to Modio, go File Contents and right click the account data size 404 and this time overwrite with the file from the Silver Account. Then Rehash/Resign. Use the Recon Profiles Profile ID, but sign with your own Console ID

Place the Recon Profile into the HDD or Mem card by creating the correct Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/FFE07D1/00010000 folders where the Exxxx's is the profile ID of the Recon Profile.

Now sign into Xbox Live and it will state your Silver Profiles gamertag, but the whole gamerprofile contents will be that of the Recon Account...obviously except for the very very small part that you overwrite to make it a silver login account...

Although it's an exact replica of the whole Halo3.gpd data and profile values - Recon is still not unlocked... !!! god knows how.... but if anyone who is also trying new things can do anything else with the method above - also let me know
