Usermap Modding (noob friendly) :D

i tried to do this with the data transfer kit but when i do open memcard or driver. it says cant find FATX drive to open. HELP!!!!

If you have vista right click and run as admin

Hey im wondering about the last part in you noob friendly modding tut what do you mean by xplorer360 :folder? Where can i find this folder and because of that my mods arent working. can you help?

Are there some objects that cannot be modded into a map? Because I tried to change a Warthog into a gauss turret(not mounted on a warthog) and it corrupted the file :-/

You will see everything in the scen catagorie. Scroll down to the bottom until you see the tag objects/vehicles/pelican/pelican_parked/pelican_parked/. As you might have guesed, this tag will spawn a parked pelican from outside the map. Click the pelican tag.

Those steps alone give me a great idea. Expect to see it soon, well, if I get the time or if it works out. Otherwise, I will let you know what I was thinking, see if one of you guys can try it out.

EDIT: Yeah, it was impossible. Ignore this post. Well, unless you figure out a way to switch out objects in sections besides bloc, such as switching the large warehouse doors on Foundry for a grenade, or something like that. Good luck though, it is or is nearly impossible right now.

Sorry for double post, but it couldn't be avoided. This thread is basically dead. Anyways, I get the "Could not find a FATX drive to open!" error. I am not running Vista, and I'm using the Microsoft Transfer Kit. I know the wire works because I already transfered the content on my old hard drive to my new hard drive. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Also, I know the USB port works because every time I plug in the hard drive, the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' opens up.

I followed all of this and then i injected the file to my hard drive and it was clearly there and still is but when i go to look for it in halo 3 it is nowhere to be found! so i redid all of my steps and when i went into halo 3 again it said utility drive cleared and the map was not there again please help! this is my first mod!

You need to resign and rehash your modded map. Download concept

When you install it, open concept, use concept to open your modded usermap,click rehash/resign,close out of concept,inject the file
