Ok so if you normally scam through the Halo Forums you should recognize me as one of the guys who did mod their Gamerscore using Xbox 360 Profile Editor Version 2.0. Well as most of us know Bungie has a server dedicated just for Recon Armor and with that it blocks trying to use the easy way of just modding and unlocking your achievements and obtaining Recon. Although I have heard that Bungie's Server does not check the Halo 3 Vidmasters, but only the ODST Vidmasters. Meaning that you could mod your Halo 3 Vidmasters and still seem legit, but the ODST are being observed by the Server and with that, must be done legitly. So after I modded all my Halo 3 and ODST achievements at first my Road to Recon status read, "Recon Unlock Failure: Vidmaster Flags Required." Then later after the server updated my Road to Recon status changed to, "Error: We are having trouble confirming your Endure achievement. Please wait 24 hours for the game to appear on Bungie.net." So I thought hmm......... ok i'm ****ed......but what the hell......... lets try and get all these ligitly even though their unlocked and see what happens. So I did Classic, then Deja Vu, and then the worst EVER, ENDURE. I then checked my Road to Recon status and it changed to, "Error: We are having trouble confirming your Classic achievement. Please wait 24 hours for the game to appear on Bungie.net." So I then went back and redid classic and went back to check my Road to Recon Status and..........................

I GOT THE "UNLOCK MY RECON" OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I clicked the Unlock button and the page loaded and the Unlock My Recon button changed to "Unlocked Successfully."

I then loaded up my Mythic Multiplayer CD, (Halo 3 Complete Multiplayer Experience, Disc 2 in your ODST Box) and went to my armor and immediately noticed my Selection of Helmets jumped from 10 to 11. So I scrolled and found..............

RECON!

And now I have mine. Hackers,

You can get yours, but YOU MUST GET YOUR ODST VIDMASTERS LEGITLY! I AM SOLID PROOF OF THIS!

that means that you cant mod to get recon stupid, it means you can mod but you have to do them anyway.

Number one mother ****er, im not stupid. So watch your mouth. I'm not posting this as a mod tutorial, but a second chance at Recon for people like me who immediately got ODST and hacked all the achievements quickly without knowing Bungie had a Server in place.

And yeah......... Endure is hard as hell. IT WAS AWFUL! SO TENSE OMG! >;(

holy sh*t this does work!!, my odst achievements were modded, sure enough i got the same message [cannot verify endure achievement], the ODST vidmasters gotta b legit or no recon!!

What he is saying is, You don't have to do them all legit, Annual, Lightswitch, Brainpan (Even though this one's simple as hell) and 7 on 7. For those who didn't want to, or did get around to doing. So Yes, you still have to get 3 of the 7 Legit, but that's better then ALL 7. Annual is pain, Lightswitch and 7 on 7 are time consuming. Classic is simple and Deja Vu isn't as hard as it seems, it just takes patience , Endure is possibly the most ridculous one out of ODST, but if you play on Alpha Site and play your cards right it's entirely possible.

So what your saying is if I have all the halo 3 vidmasters,
But none ODST....
I can mod the ODST and I'll have recon?

This is stupid because even if you mod the ODST Vids you have to go back and play them all over in order to get recon. So theres really no point in modding the ODST Vids if you have to play them all over again.
