Ban Question.

If you get banned in halo 3 is it the account or the xbox? I seem to remember getting suspended and I couldn't play matchmaking on any account on my box?

That is really strange because I am positive that I couldn't play on any accounts on my xbox when one got suspended. I do believe you 100% percent but I know for a fact it wouldn't let any of my accounts play. Congrats on the method and tuts for bridging and standbying. I am too scared to do them though right now "bungie is watching".

thats halo 2, your xbox network cache was recorded
from what i understand, in halo 3 you DO NOT get "banned/suspended," but instead your account and xbox that the account is on is put on a list of "unreliable hosts" and wont give you host anymore

I'm positve it was halo 3. I tried to circle boost, it didn't work. The next day it said I was banned from matchmaking. My friend recovered his account and it said he was banned, I wasn't in the party, when he recovered it back on his box he wasn't banned. After a week all accounts on my box could play again.

I really want to test out the new method but risking never playing halo again is to much, if it was only the account I would try (I know you said it was and if it wasn't for my experience I would trust you). I just want to bridge not even standby (yet lol).

nope no ones ever been banned in halo yet, maybe xbox crew gave you an xbox live suspension but no one ever from MM

You sure about that? Cause someone at Bungie just made a topic about being banned from MM.

They found games of him booting people.
